Until Further Notice

Whenever you are visiting the clinic in-person, you must wear a mask/face covering that covers both your mouth and nose.

Regular Appointments: In order to minimize the risk of spreading the COVID-19 virus, many of the medical appointments at Harbourview Family Health are being conducted over the phone.  When you call to book an appointment, you will be told whether the appointment will be over the phone at a particular time or whether the provider wishes to see you in-person in the clinic.  We are asking that all patients avoid coming into the office in-person unless asked to come by one of our staff.

After Hours (Walk in): Call (807) 698-7405 to book an appointment for the After Hours/Walk-In Clinic. Do NOT come to the clinic without calling first.  You can call between 4:30pm and 7:45pm Monday – Thursday   and between 9:45am and 12:45pm on Saturdays.  The doctor may complete the appointment over the phone or you may be asked to come to the clinic in-person at a specific time.  Many appointments for the After Hours/Walk-in are now completed over the phone.

Sick Notes: The government has introduced legislation that means employers cannot ask for a doctor’s note if you have missed work because of the COVID-19 (has been in place since January 2020).

Please do NOT come to the clinic in-person if you are currently experiencing any new COVID symptoms such as difficulty breathing, cough, fever, muscle aches, fatigue, headache, sore throat, runny nose/sneezing, nasal congestion, hoarse voice, difficulty swallowing, chills, change in sense of smell or taste, gastro symptoms (nausea, vomiting or diarrhea) or have recently traveled or come in contact with someone who has travelled outside of Northwestern Ontario.

Please note: Harbourview Family Health does not currently have access to the COVID -19 vaccine.

Patients who need to schedule a COVID-19 test need to contact the COVID-19 Assessment Centre at (807) 935-8100.

Should you have any questions about COVID-19 symptoms, self-isolation and monitoring or the current testing criteria, please contact the TBDHU at (807) 625-5900.
